This heating season there are some things you can do to save money.
• The first thing is to set your thermostat as low as is comfortable for you. You save 3% on the day’s heating costs by just setting your thermostat lower, by one degree, for that 24 hour period! A set back thermostat will automatically, after programmed, save you energy. By using a set-back thermostat you can save from 9-18% on those heating bills!
• Clean or replace your furnace filters. A one inch filter should be replaced monthly and the four to five inch filters generally once a heating season.
